Orthodontic Elastics
Orthodontists are used to fix or correct severe malocclusions such as crossbite, underbite, overbite, etc. These elastics are supplementary elastics that are generally used along with orthodontic brackets for the above problems as well as cases of overlapping jaws that have a long orthodontic period. The use of these elastics, in addition to reducing the duration of the treatment period, also reduces the use of other methods.
In order to move the jaws or teeth in certain directions, for example: helping to pull back or forward one of the jaws or even transverse movement of the jaws, orthodontic elastic is used.
The material of these elastics can be latex or non-latex. Latex elastics are the most commonly used and common type of elastics in orthodontics.
