such as those made by OSWELL, are small orthodontic accessories used in fixed orthodontic treatments. These hooks are attached to orthodontic wires and serve as attachment points for elastic bands or other auxiliary appliances. Here are some key points about Crimpable Ball Hooks:
Design and Material: Crimpable ball hooks are typically made from high-quality stainless steel, ensuring durability and resistance to corrosion. They have a small ball-shaped end that prevents elastic bands from slipping off.
Crimpable Feature: The term "crimpable" refers to the method of attachment. These hooks can be securely fastened to the archwire by crimping them into place using special pliers. This makes them versatile and allows for precise placement along the wire.
Uses: Crimpable ball hooks are commonly used to apply additional forces to the teeth. They can be placed at specific points to assist with closing spaces, aligning the midline, or applying other corrective forces using elastics.
Adjustability: Because they can be crimped at various locations on the wire, they offer flexibility in treatment planning. Orthodontists can place them exactly where they are needed, which is particularly useful in complex cases.
OSWELL Brand: OSWELL is known for producing high-quality orthodontic products. Their crimpable ball hooks are reliable and commonly used in practices for their consistency and precision.
